Whoa!

by Erik

As you can see, there have been a few changes around here. Bort’s Portal has officially gone Web 2.0.

What does this mean for you? Because Bort’s Portal is now using a blog engine, there will (hopefully) be many more updates. All of Bort’s Portal’s previous contributors will be posting to the site. And now anybody can comment on the stories posted here. Making it easy for contributors to contribute was the biggest concern for the latest Bort’s Portal. It is now more about the changing content of the site rather than static information that never changed.

Yeah, quite a few features are now gone, including the entertainment reviews and comics. These may be added again over time. The links are now included in the form of my most current del.icio.us links. And the quick-links on the side have been revamped.

I hope you like the new Bort’s Portal. As always, if you can’t see the new design of the site, it means you are either using a text-based browser, or your browser is very old. In the latter case, it’s time to upgrade (this goes for Internet Explorer users too ;) ).

Have a great day!
